This very dramatic design was originally produced by the Tane studios of Mexico City circa 1960. Tane is one of the foremost design houses currently producing new innovative designs in Mexico.The earrings were modeled on a Tarascan copper axe. The indigenous Tarascans were known for their metal working skills in pre-Columbian Mexico.
