These earrings may be worn on their own or to compliment the koi fish necklace which was originally produced by the Los Castillo studio during the golden age of Taxco silver jewelry production which spanned from the 1930’s through the 1960’s. The earrings have been produced entirely by hand with a repousse technique in fine 970 silver. Currently there are very few artists in Taxco who  can produce repousse jewelry due to time and training requirements. The necklace and bracelet are featured in the book “William Spratling and the Mexican Silver Renaissance” on page 26.
