Los Castillo of Taxco Reproduction Fine .970 Silver Repousse Fish Necklace

Los Castillo of Taxco Reproduction Fine .970 Silver Repousse Fish Necklace

This spectacular necklace was originally produced by the Los Castillo studio during the golden age of Taxco silver jewelry production which spanned from the 1930’s through the 1960’s. The necklace has been produced entirely by hand with a repousse technique in fine 970 silver. Currently there are very few artists in Taxco who  can produce repousse jewelry due to time and training requirements. The necklace and bracelet are featured in the book “William Spratling and the Mexican Silver Renaissance” on page 26. The necklace features superior workmanship and is a definite showstopper.
