This delicate floral sterling silver pin is from the studio of Damaso Gallegos. Prior to the establishment of his own studio “La Amatista”, Gallegos had worked in the studio of Hector Aguilar. In addition to working in silver, Gallegos was also a goldsmith and produced gold pieces for the Taller Borda. Gallegos is noted in several books concerning the golden age of silver jewelry production in Taxco, Mexico.
