This bracelet is a fabulous example of 1940’s Mexican silver jewelry. The styling is heavily influenced by jewelry created for Fred Davis who was the first American to produce silver jewelry for the tourist trade in Mexico and proceeded William Spratling. Fred Davis was a collector of folk art and admired the pre-Columbian art in Mexico.

Details: Bracelet has a wearable length of 6 3/4 inches and is 1 1/2 inches wide. Weight is 2.3 ounces. Markings are "Silver Mexico". The bracelet is composed of silver of at least sterling content and natural amethysts. The bracelet has no known damage with no scratches, dents or dings to silver and no chips or cracks to amethysts. The bracelet was made prior to 1948 when the Eagle marking system went into effect.
