This striking bracelet is very reminiscent of early designs created in the studio of Fred Davis of Mexico City. Markings on the bracelet indicate that the bracelet dates from the 1930’s and is consistant with wear on the hallmark. Fred Davis was the first to pioneer the production of silver jewelry using ancient Mexican design motifs for the tourist trade to Mexico during the 1930’s. William Spratling took inspation to start his studio from theĀ of Fred Davis. This bracelet is a stunner and definitely will attract attention.

Details: Bracelet has a wearable length of 7 1/4 inches and is 1 1/4 inches wide. Weight for the bracelet is 1.87 ounces or 54 grams. Markings are "Mexico Silver". The bracelet is composed of natural amethyst and silver at least equivalent or exceeding the silver content of sterling silver. Bracelet has a tongue in box closure. This bracelet pre-dates 1948 when the Eagle marking system went into effect in Mexico.
