This bracelet has been crafted in the style of a Maciel repousse cuff bracelet. Most likely this bracelet was crafted by an artisan who was employed by Maciel who crafted the bracelet in their home workshop. Maciel specialized in hollowware and was based in Mexico City. The cuff bracelets were the only item of jewelry seen with any frequency. The repousse was done entirely by hand with the silver worked from both sides to give the design a three dimensional effect. The bracelet was most likely crafted in the 1940’s.
