These vintage earrings were produced in the studio of Hector Aguilar. Prior to the establishment of his own studio or “taller” in 1939, Hector Aguilar worked as a manager for William Spratling at “Las Delicias”. The designs of Hector Aguilar frequently feature pre-Columbian motifs and show the influence of Willliam Spratling. The work of Hector Aguilar has been featured in many museum publications and exhibitions and exemplifies the best of the golden age of silver jewelry production in Taxco, Mexico.
