This fabulous vintage parure or set was originally designed by Fred Davis of Mexico City during the 1930’s. Fred Davis was the first to promote silver jewelry with indigenous designs andĀ motifs to the growing tourist trade from North America during the 1930’s. William Spratling was greatly influenced by the success of Fred Davis in his decision to pursue jewelry design in Taxco. The designs of Fred Davis have been featured in numerous books and museum exhibitions about Mexican jewelry.
