Los Castillo Reproduction Sterling Silver Serpentine Earrings – Single

These striking earrings were originally designed by the famed studio of Los Castillo in Taxco, Mexico. The design was inspired by pre-Columbian motifs. Prior to the establishment of the Los Castillo studio in 1939, Antonio Castillo and brothers had apprenticed with William Spratling. The Los Castillo studio went on to become famous as well and has been featured in numerous museum exhibitions and publications.

These bold yet feminine earrings were originally created in the studio of Margot de Taxco. All jewelry from the Margot de Taxco studio was designed by Margot van Voorhies Carr. Prior to the establishment of her own studio in 1949 in Taxco, Margot created many of the designs for the famed “Los Castillo” studio.
