This stunning vintage pre-Columbian motif sterling silver necklace has the hallmark for the studio of Carmen Beckmann. Carmen Beckmann was active in the 1960’s and 1970’s in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Most likely her jewelry was produced by a variety of silversmiths and her hallmark placed on the jewelry. The quality of this piece is apparent and there is substantial weight to the necklace. This design was originally produced in the “Los Castillo” studio of Taxco, Mexico.
